Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda took to Twitter to apologize to a fan he elbowed to protect his pregnant wife, actress Neri Naig.
Miranda and Naig were mobbed by fans who were trying to take a selfie with him at a mall last Tuesday.
Back in June, Naig talked about her delicate pregnancy. Explaining her decision to shy away from social media after it was announced that she was expecting, she said she has shunned people to avoid stress.
Naig suffered a miscarriage last year.
She thanked Miranda for being a caring husband.
Miranda’s Twitter post has drawn some criticism, with some saying that he did not have to elbow the fan. In reply, he wrote back: “Buntis asawa ko sabay babanggain ng lalake para lang magpa-picture sa akin? Buti nga siko lang eh. Buti nga nag-sorry pa ako eh.”
Naig is set to give birth this month. The couple are expecting a baby boy, whom they decided to name Alfonso III after Miranda’s birth name, Alfonso II.
